Is Judge Killer a Criminal or Vigilante?

by Malcolm Wilson on Oct.23, 2009, under News

About a year ago a Lithuanian man, Drasius Keyds was told by his daughter that she had been raped at a meeting that had been set up by his wife, and at the meeting was a judge and politician. A year long criminal investigation was conducted against the politician and judge, but there wasn’t enough evidence against them. So the father did what any rational person would do, and killed them both.

To me this sounds reminiscent of Law Abiding Citizen in which case i was actually rooting for Gerard Butler the whole time, but that was a movie and this is real life. Some people are hailing him a hero and giving him support, like Poland who is knowingly housing and protecting him, while others are saying he’s a vigilante and needs to face Justice. Marijuanaity? Pretty Please!?

by Malcolm Wilson on Jul.13, 2009, under Humor

Many of you are aware of a little thing called Auto-Tune. Apparently one of its first uses was by Cher in 1998. Since then, It has been embedded in pop culture, one of it’s main users being T-Pain, but other artists such as Kanye West and Lil Wayne have taken liking to it. Jay-Z even has a new single called D.O.A(Death of Auto tune). But these guys on You Tube take news clips and throw auto tune and turn the clips into songs. It’s actually pretty funny shit, let me know what you guys think.

Here’s the link to their YouTube Channel.

Sony CEO Says Fuck The Internet

by Malcolm Wilson on May.15, 2009, under Uncategorized

I’ve been watching this Vlogger, SxE Phil for a long time now, and i’m going to try and not plug too many of his videos. I feel like he may have hit a within the past few months, but he’s back now as sharp as ever. More importantly is the news he speaks of in this video, about how Sony CEO Michael Lynton hasn’t seen “anything good from come from the internet. Period”. He compares Obama’s plan to expand broadband internet access without regulating piracy to building a highway without speed limits. As always, Phillip DeFranco comes in with his Triweekly blog and delivers a little common sense to the situation.

Internet = Bad

Irish Student Pwns the Media

by Malcolm Wilson on May.12, 2009, under News

There has been a lot of speculation and theorists saying that the internet has killed the art behind journalism. Reporters, who would once do a little something called “research” before writing an article and calling it credible, are now using the internet to find their information, which may or may not be accurate information. An Irish student from Dublin University decided to test this theory out.

Shane Fitzgerald, shortly after finding out that french composer Maurice Jarre had passed away, updated Jarre’s page on Wikiepedia, adding a quote that Fitzgerald made up, and accredited it to Jarre. In the next few days, articles started emerging in “credible” news sources, that included Fitzgeralds quote. Almost a month went by before Fitzgerald confessed and some of these news outlets that he had made the quote up.

Fuck My Life, and FML is the newest fad and term being used by just about everyone, and maybe it’s just the alcohol typing, but i feel like it should be reserved for 12 year old emo kids. I can’t stand this fucking saying, there is nothing that bad going on in your life that I, or anyone else should fuck it.  They even have a website dedicated to it, i think it’s FML.com or somethin, i’m not exactly positive, because i cont look at that crap anyways, but unfortunately, i have seen it… A few weeks ago though i came across a site with a similar site, and it’s called “Texts From Last Night”. Drunken texts, shit talking, and some of the most random texts that maybe some of the dumbest people sent, but me,  i rarely laugh out loud at stuff that i read, but this site had me going. Please check this site out and tell me that some of these texts don’t make you laugh out loud.

Texts From Last Night

(651): Last night while we were having sex, ‘God bless the USA’ started playing on his itunes. He came almost immediately… so awkward.

(814): I told him it tasted like his mom..needless to say we were asked to leave.

(202): dude, despite what happened last night, I’m not gay

(818): Jake died.
(310): WTF????????? That’s how you tell me????
(818): Oops typo. Jake cried.

(940): That’s why you don’t touch shit after fingering somebone

… just some of the better recent ones i saw.

Kanye West “Two Words” Video, Ft. Mos Def

by Malcolm Wilson on May.07, 2009, under Music, Video

I’ll admit, i dont listen to Kanye West anymore, most of the press and stuff that i’ve seen about him the past few years has just shown him as whiney, and arrogant. Even though i like his music, i couldn’t bring myself to listen to it, or to buy it based on how he acted. Back in the day before he started gettin really arrogant though, when i still used to listen to him, one of my favorite songs of his was “Two Words” featuring Mos Def. Apparently there was a video for it but it never got any airtime, but here it is.

Kanye writes:
This video never got played because I refused to remove the titles on it. They said people will think a TV show is going off and I said that’s the whole point. Wow… even only 3 videos in to the game…. I refused to compromise my vision.

New ‘X-Men’ to Get Their own Feature Length Film

by Malcolm Wilson on May.06, 2009, under Movies, News

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Fresh off the muscular box-office performance of “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” one of the film’s characters is headed for a movie of his own.

20th Century Fox is developing a spin-off featuring Deadpool, the wise-cracking mercenary played in the film by Ryan Reynolds.

In “Deadpool,” Reynolds will reprise the “merc with a mouth,” known for his slapstick tone and propensity to break the fourth wall.

It is understood that the character would regain the ability to mouth off, after having suffered a setback in “Wolverine.” Deadpool also was disfigured in the current film, but it’s unclear how much the studio would want to mess with Reynolds’ handsome mug in the new feature.

Fox considered a “Deadpool” spin-off early in “Wolverine’s” development process, and cast Reynolds with that possibility in mind.

Reynolds, onscreen in the ensemble coming-of-age movie “Adventureland,” next stars opposite Sandra Bullock in Disney’s romantic comedy “The Proposal.”

Beautiful Boy – A Father’s Journey Through His Son’s Crystal Meth Addiction

by Malcolm Wilson on May.06, 2009, under Book, Reviews

Beautiful Boy: A Father’s Journey Through His Son’s Addiction is a father’s account of his son’s addiction to crystal meth. David Sheff is a graduate of University of California, Berkley, and he is a renowned American author. He has written for The New York Times, Playboy, Wired, And Fortune, as well as several books: Game Over, China Dawn, All We Are Saying: The Last Major Interview with John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Beautiful Boy is his memoir, about the struggles he went through while his son battled with his addiction to methamphetamine’s, and the lies and covers he had to tell his younger kids, and how it strained his relationship with his wife. His son’s addiction became his addiction as he did his research on the drug and he became addicted to trying to help his son, and how it absorbed him, pulling him from his wife, kids, and work. Sheff relives his past experiences, having his house burglarised, wallet emptied by his own son, living in fear that the next phone call would be a death notice about his son, and the multiple stints of rehab that his son went through, and how time after time treatment failed him. Sheff goes into a good amount of detail about the pharmacology and physical effects behind Crystal Methamphetamine’s. This book is a sad story but a good read detailing one mans experience with what is becoming one of the most dangerous and prevalent street drugs available.

His Son, Nic Sheff tells his own side of the story in Tweak: Growing Up on Methamphetamines
