Anger Management Tour 3
Guess who’s back. Back again. Shady’s back. Tell some friends. That’s right; The Anger Management tour is
back with an all star line-up. On august 5th the Nissan Pavilion was filled to capacity with people eager to see
Eminem and 50 cent promoting their new albums. This year the show included Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz, Lil
Scrappy, PitBull, 50 Cent, Mobb Deep, MOP, the whole G-unit Crew, Eminem, Stat Quo, Obie Trice, and D-12.
Many of the hottest names in hip-hop right now all came together under one roof to put on a Grade-A show.

The show started at 7:00 with Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz bringing their crunk style of music to the stage. They
got the crowd pumped and excited for the night. It was a good choice for an opening act. During their performance
a lot of the seats were still not filled, and many that were there were sitting down… But with a 20 foot Head of Lil
Jon with transposing arms, you couldn’t help but throw up your arms side to side and shout “to the window, to the
wall…” His performance was well performed, and had comical videos played, such as a PSA by Dave Chapelle,
advising against smoking cigarettes, weed, or crack in the pavilion. And don’t worry if you couldn’t see that well,
because after a video of  Usher apologizing for not being able to make the show, Lil Jon made his way up to the
300 section of the audience, while he performed “Lovers and Friends” to close his act.

Between sets there was about 30 minutes of watching commercials for g-unit products, including 50 Cent’s new
water, movie, and video game. 50 cent flew out on stage attached to a cable, but had a bad landing and fell off the
stage. It would seem as though that affected his performance, he seemed to be kind of hurt all night. He played it
off nicely though, he just stayed where he landed pretty much… in the audience, slapping hands with fans in the
front. 50 and G-unit rapped in front of a post-apocalyptic New York City, surrounded by flaming trash barrels,
overturned police cars, and the head of our Lady Liberty. What seemed to be the most disappointing part of this
set was Mobb Deep and MOP. I really like some of Mobb Deeps work, but they just didn’t have the stage presence
and charisma to get the audience pumped, as many of them were sitting down at this point. 50 and his crews’ set
seemed a bit strange at the end, as he kept asking if he had to get off stage now, and it may have even ended
early

To end the show, Eminem got the crowd on their feet, whooping and hollering. Eminem came out on stage,
performing some of the songs off his new album. After a few songs out came D12 (minus bizarre), performing
some top songs from D12 World. The show stopped and everybody on stage started wondering where bizarre
was. He could be heard off stage telling everybody to get off stage, and he came out and performed Rock Star, off
of his latest album, Hannicap Circus. Everyone returned on stage and performed a few more D12 songs.
Eminem then made a little trip to the past playing songs from the Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show,
including Stan, The Way I Am, and Cleaning Out My Closets. An amusing part of the show came when Eminem
went further back in to the past singing some old school rap songs. “La Di Da Di, we likes to party We don't cause
trouble, we don't bother nobody” he sang, in tribute to Snoop Doggs Lodi Dodi. Next he started singing “You, you
got what I need but you say he’s just a friend/And you say he’s just a friend, oh baby” of course being Biz Markies
Just a Friend. The next song started “1-2-3 and to the 4. Snoop Doggy Dogg and Dr Dre are at the do’” I don’t think
I have to tell you what this song was. And finally, “some songs from way back” Eminem said before he started to
sing, “Hi! My name is… What? My Name Is…” After the chorus Eminem went into Just Don’t Give a Fuck, from the
Slim Shady LP. Everyone was on their feet for the whole set, until Obie Trice and Stat Quo came on stage to
perform a few songs. This seemed to kill the audiences’ mood, and many people found their seats and used this
as a breather until Eminem came back out. The most disappointing part of the show was the fact that their were
no duets with Eminem and 50 Cent. It was said that 50 Cent came out and performed a few songs with Eminem
at other shows, perhaps 50 was just hurting from his rough landing at the beginning of his set.

All in all it was a great show, great lineup and great track listing, the show had a few minor flaws, but they could
be easily overlooked and didn’t take away from the quality of the show.
